Dear Tim, I could go on about all your help with the microscopes, debugging glitches in analysis software and more... But what I'd like to highlight most are the concepts you imbued - the art of the image, magic in micro, and most of all, 'chasing the light' in a whole new way.

Be in peace. Be in the light.

We will miss you...

Tim,

I still expect to see you poke your head into the confocal room to check if everything was working OK. You were always willing to go the extra mile to solve a problem and help someone take beautiful images. I am indebted to you for not only for being a wonderful and dedicated colleague, but also as a friend. Whenever I wear my 2010 CSHL Vertebrate Organogenesis meeting shirt that you designed, I will be reminded of you and all that you did for us every day. I will truly miss greeting you as I walk into the microscope room, but somehow, I think the images will never seem quite as beautiful without you around. May you have found peace.

Here are some images that you helped me take...I owe much of my scientific progress to you.
